Product details

This is a Buddha statue of Zashi Lhamo, a unique Dharmapala statue in the Sera Monastery tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Zashi Lhamo is known as the manifestation of the auspicious goddess of wealth in the worldly realm and is revered in Zashi Lhamo Monastery, an affiliated temple of Sera Monaste. Zashi Lhamo Monastery, located in Lhasa, is the only temple dedicated to a wealth statue in all of Tibet.

In Tibetan culture, Wednesdays are considered auspicious days to pay homage to Zashi Lhamo. On this day, people offer white wine and traditional Tibetan scarves, called "khada," as offerings to the goddess, seeking blessings for prosperity and wealth in their businesses. It is believed that venerating Zashi Lhamo brings rapid and tangible results, making it a powerful symbol of wealth and fortune.

This Buddha statue of Zashi Lhamo is of medium size and depicts the deity in a wrathful posture, with an open mouth and a protruding tongue, exuding a fearsome appearance. Zashi Lhamo wears a crown adorned with five skull ornaments and holds the sun and moon discs close to the chest, while wearing a long skirt. The entire statue is intricately adorned with detailed ornamentation, creating a striking and ornate appearance.

The statue is made of gold material, with mineral pigments applied to the face and crown. Coral, turquoise, and lapis lazuli are embedded in various parts, including the earlobes, arms, and the base. This statue is in excellent condition, finely cast from bronze, and meticulously crafted.

By making offerings and heartfelt prayers to this statue, one may receive blessings of good fortune, wealth, longevity, and prosperity. It represents an auspicious and orderly transmission of blessings, signifying great fortune and well-being.
