Product details

Qing Dynasty Nine-pronged Samye Demon-subduing Vajra-pestle ritual implement. In the propagation and lineage of Buddhism, ritual implements play a crucial role! The Vajra-pestle blessed by Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, Indian paṇḍitas, and numerous accomplished practitioners, is revered as the king of Vajra-pestles. This esteemed samye pestle has a moderate size and is usually brought out for empowerment and rituals during major Buddhist gatherings by living Buddhas or esteemed scholars. It is crafted with yellow brass, with a Cold Iron core in the central vein, featuring a simple and elegant design. The two ends of the pestle are round, slender, and smooth, with the central prong well-preserved. The eight outer prongs encircle the central vein, while the handle's large bead is flattened. The lotus base is adorned with understated and unadorned petals, exhibiting a clean and majestic aesthetic without being ostentatious, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. The patina on the skin is well-developed, having been passed down for hundreds of years through numerous virtuous lineage masters, resulting in a refined and mature appearance. It possesses tremendous strength and is of the perfect size, making it highly suitable for actual practice and offering adornment, truly a rarity.
This pestle inherits the lineage of the Samye monastery and is exceptionally auspicious.
